What to see in Moscow?

I have a plan to go for Russia so surely will love to see its capital too. so, here would love to read what to see in Moscow? How much time to spend there and how to make travel time exciting for me? I hope there will be a complete answer for me that let me to plan my next tour toward it after bus to niagara falls from boston.

I live in Russia, in fact it's my birth country, so I know lots about it. Do you plan on just visiting the capital? If so, you might wanna go to Tretiakovskaya Gallery, lots of beautiful paintings by famous artists. Not even talking about the Red Square or Kremlin, must-see. There are a bunch of historical museums.. Although if you're going to Russia, make sure to get some warm clothing, because it's kind of cold here.. -15 C.
On the other hand, if you're not JUST going to the capital, you're gonna like St. Petersburg - the cultural centre of our country. The Baikal lake is a place to go, albeit it's far from England..
If you're more into the Russian Empire or something, then it's a good idea to visit Vladimir or Suzdal. They are ancient cities filled with folklore, as well as Kizhi.
As for the time.. Well, it depends on what you like the most, but I recommend 3-5 days in each place you wish to visit.

Happy to see your quick and informative post. It's really helpful for me to know more about Russia. Yours describe in a great way about Rusia because local can guide in a right way. As you said should spend at least 3 days in each place then would like to explore its capital fist and noted your suggestions to make travel time exciting. Actually, I will be there for a week so I don't think so could explore different cities. So selective places will be on my hit list to see the beauty of this region. Must say after reading your post my excitement to go for it has been increased a lot. Quite happy for that time when will see it myself like a local.
